Wanted posters for very limited-edition customized sneakers. The shoes were placed around Manhattan and tossed over lampposts. Obtaining a pair meant climbing the posts to get them.
The only way to get a pair was to physically find them. The shoes were positioned on street lamps and traffic lights, and dedicated sneakerheads were committed enough to scale these heights in order to secure them.
The campaign made them a collectors’ item, with an asking price of $15,000-$40,000 on Sotherbys, and Ebay. Ebay ranked this custom, #3 top Nike Dunk of all time.
