Mount Sinai Web

Seven hospitals. A medical school. Millions of people finding doctors, booking appointments and making decisions about their care. The design has to make a complicated system feel navigable.

Role Creative direction, design, UI/UX

Scope 7 hospitals + Icahn School of Medicine

Years 2017 to now

Reach 109M+ pageviews a year

What I led

  • Creative direction and UI/UX for the health system and Icahn School of Medicine websites.
  • A public COVID-19 hub, built and updated through the pandemic’s peak.
  • Find a Doctor and the physician-facing sites.
  • The Mount Sinai AI website.

How I approached it

Everyone, all at once

Mount Sinai’s sites have to work for patients looking for a doctor, physicians in the middle of a shift, researchers getting their work out, and people making urgent health calls. All of them, on a sprawling family of sites that still has to feel like one place.

1 system, many sites

I didn’t want every site to be a one-off. So I built a shared design language that could bend to very different jobs: a symptom checker for patients, a channel for physicians, a DEI microsite, the 2024 Icahn School of Medicine refresh and, in 2025, the AI website.

Then COVID-19 hit

We moved fast. I led the design and launch of the COVID-19 Facts & Resources hub, with real-time information that kept changing, for a public that was scared and needed answers.

109M+pageviews a year across Mount Sinai sites.

48M+visitors per year.

1.6Mvisitors to the COVID-19 hub at the pandemic’s peak.
