His second release, The Beautiful Struggle came out in 2004 and is one of the defining hip-hop albums of that era. The Flash Gordon single cover went back to the 1980 film — the typeface, the palette, the sense of scale. It had to feel like it belonged in that era while sitting in Talib’s catalog.
Also created a promotional t-shirt using a homage to Harley-Davidson’s iconic logo.
